The 2023 cycling season is fast approaching and your cycling group will commence riding on May 9th
This year, along with our Tuesday rides, we will be adding a Thursday afternoon social ride. Stay tuned to the web site for details as they become available.
To register you must complete the PBM Cycling Waiver attached. Scan or photo the completed Waiver and email to email@example.com
Our Manuals, Waiver, Cycling Skills, etc., are all available and downloadable from the web site http://probusblue.ca/ under activities. Ride schedules and details will all be on the web site.
Please review the Cyclist Guidelines, available on the web site, to be prepared
Contact your committee at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to be a ride leader or have ideas for cycling routes.

Annual PROBUS Golf

Our annual golf tournament is back. Last year we had great weather and a wonderful outing for all. The purpose of this event is to promote club interaction and have fun. It is open to anyone regardless of golf caliber. The format is a four man team, nine hole best ball tournament. You can request a foursome or we’ll set one up for you. The organizer reserves the right to adjust submitted teams to ensure skill levels are balanced. Prizes will be awarded for the winners. Following the golf we’ll meet on the Duntroon deck, overlooking the course, for drinks, a great meal, and a chance to regale our feats on the course. To register please pay via e-transfer at our next Probus meeting (details below).

1. Hiking boots or similar sturdy footwear recommended.
2. Bring water and a snack or light lunch.
3. Bring sunscreen, bug spray, or rain gear as the conditions warrant.
Note these dates are selected to not interfere with the Cycling or paddling groups.

Live action at the Arena
Hockey Collingwood Blues
Leader: Jake Johnston
On Sunday, March 5th Probus Members attended the Collingwood Blues last game of the regular season. We were treated to exciting hockey and super hospitality from David Steel, the President of the Blues and Terry Geddes the Chair of the Board of Directors.
The seats were great and between periods we got to enjoy the warmth and ambiance of the Founders Lounge!
The team ended up in first place and will move forward to the National Championship! Look for future announcements about playoff games.

Masters of Kitchen Bridge

The Kitchen Bridge group continues to meet the first and third Thursday of each month at 1:00 p.m. at the legion. Great relaxed camaraderie.

We welcome all who have an interest in the game of bridge -- whether a beginner or expert.
Play commences at 1:00 pm but, if you cannot come until later, come anyway. We will fit you into a game throughout the afternoon.

Tour in the Fall

Agnora have not yet started Tours but are scheduled to do so in the fall 2023. Probus Blue is 3rd in line and we will iron out a date in the summer.
This is a fascinating business, one of only 3 similar operations worldwide.
Maximum 25 people for the tour and you break into groups for 5 to get closer to various areas. Safely glasses are required and are provided.

2) We will be leaving from the Collingwood Legion by 9:00 o'clock
2) We will plan on being there for the 10:00 to 12:00 o'clock tour.
3) We may well want to stay for Lunch, but will confirm this later after we have asked our members to register.
4) We will limit the Maximum number of visitors to 25.

Here's an update on the Member Trip to Edenvale Airport to see the Avro Arrow.
We are SOLD OUT for this special event taking place on the afternoon of our Probus meeting on May 18.
The date we have chosen is May 18 in the afternoon. We have specifically chosen the afternoon of our Monthly meeting as a good day so people have time for lunch, hopefully at the Legion, plus time to drive the approximately half hour to Edenvale Airport which is due east on Highway 26.
