2024 Cycling Schedule

Fellow Cyclists,

This Group is one of the most successful in our PROBUS Club.
After several years, Monty is retiring from leading the cyclists, and Tom James has stepped up to continue the ride.

    Depart 10am from Bernie Leclaire Park, we ride west down to Balm Beach, onto Tiny Beaches Road N, at Concession 14 we continue on Cedar Point Rd, rolling through Lafontaine, still on Cedar Point Rd we come to Concession Rd 17W. we ride east to Thunder Beach Rd. We head north turning left on to Concession Rd18 W. This section has a long but easy ride up hill. We continue west past Laurin, turning right onto Cedar Point Rd, and then right onto Concesssion Rd 19 W.
    Heading south on Tiny Beaches Rd N we ride through Sand Castle Beach, Cove Beach, Ishpiming Beach, Lafontaine Beach onto Concession Rd 15W ( a forested section is not paved but suitable for road bikes). We then turn right onto Trillium Ln towards Georgian Sands Beach and then a left onto Tiny Beaches Rd N. At Belle-Eau-Claire Beach we continue West on Tiny Beaches Rd N. After a small climb we stop at Cedar Point Rd and make a right onto Tiny Beaches Rd N. At Cawaja Beach we turn left onto Concession Rd 11, crossing County Rd 6 N, then right onto Tiny Trail back to our starting point, Bernie Le Clair Park.

    NOTE:
    Notify your ride leader by Sunday night if you will be participating and also indicate if you are staying for Lunch.

    Meeting Place: Tim’s, Collingwood 8:15 am for departure at 8:30 am to Bernie Le Claire Park, Perkinsfield; 52km, approximately 55 minutes.

    Lunch Venue: Boston Pizza, Wasaga, 1pm

    NOTE
    THE RIDE LEADER WILL ADVISE ALL RIDERS AND CYCLING GROUP MEMBERS IF WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE SUCH THAT THE RIDE CANNOT GO FORWARD. RIDERS AND MEMBERS MAY STILL MEET FOR LUNCH.
    NOTE

    In case anyone not joining the regular group would like to do a bike ride in the Collingwood area, you are welcome to join George Christie at Tims at 10:00 AM for a trip somewhere around Town.
