PROBUS Month was started with a flag raising at the town Library on Monday, October16. Steve Hyndman attended as a representative of our Club. The town clock will be lit in purple all month.

George Powell, Executive Secretary is retiring. Tom James will take over.
Ron Mitchell paid tribute to the passing of Doug Smith, longtime Treasurer and Honorary Management Committee member, Bob Miller, Cedric Gyles, a founding member and most recently Brian Courtney.
We have two volunteers stepping down from their positions.

Chris Meleskie detailed the upcoming activities of the Breakfast Club, the Luncheon Club and the Bridge Club. He updated members on new Outings, the Ice River facility and Medatech.
Rod Innes gave a talk on the rejuvenated Investment Club.
Eddie Sokoloff announced that the Christmas Luncheon is over ½ sold out. Burger Bob is cooking and Dean Hollan is entertaining. Lunch will be at the legion on Thursday, December 7. Cost is $63 per person with a cash bar.
Carl Wintermeyer told members about the special link on the Website about Travel for our region. He highlighted the Newfoundland and Norwegian trips as well as Probus Trip Cancellation Insurance.
Jake Johnston announced that the Club will purchase two season tickets for Collingwood Blues home games. Tickets will be awarded in association with the 50/50 draw.
Future group outings to games will be forthcoming.
Fred Chenoweth talked about his youth, education and professional life as a lawyer. He is happily retired to Collingwood.
Walter told some of his best jokes of the year! He will be away until Spring so Doug Ellsworth will fill in. The jokes are in the Memberlisting section.
Morag McKenzie and Deb Doherty from Blue Mountain Watershed Trust. They outlined their Mission, group Organization as well as the Activities that they are involved with to protect environmental enclaves in our community most notably the Silver Creek Watershed. It was a most valuable insight to a most worthwhile organization with an impact on our area!
