Weekly Golf

It’s that time of year again to start planning for the coming season. This year we are planning a weekly event versus bi-weekly as in the past three years. Last year many of you purchased the Golf Fore All discount book which provided great value. Many of you placed repeat orders this year. We will be playing at most of the courses found in the book within a 50 km radius plus a few others. As in the past no one is required to attend any or all events. This is a free association come and go as you please group. You can make up your own foursomes and provide me with the names ahead of time so I can fit you into the schedule. As in the past there will be a call out email to all of you asking who is playing the next event. Based on responses I will make up the foursomes and advise times prior to the next event. The veterans know the drill!

Based on previous years I can report that we had a core of 16 players who participated in most events and other folks came out for fewer events or as little a once. It`s all good!! Last year we only played on Thursdays and put in over 130 rounds the prior year we played Thursday and Friday and we put in over 220 rounds. This year we will be rotating dates between Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. This in concert with a weekly event will provide more flexibility and options to all of you with the target of surpassing the 220-round mark for the season. Like Prior years we will collect $10.00 at each event to fund prizes at each like closest to the pin front 9 and back 9 and the odd longest and straightest drive and of course the season end tournament. For the periods of May, June and September I have worked around the Thursday’s that conflicted with Probus meetings (All three I know of anyway).
