Ski Legends

Now that the fall weather is here, our thoughts turn to planning for our winter activities.

And that means it is time to book your ski trip!

Probus Ski Legends–the umbrella ski club for all skiing/snowboarding members in any Probus club–has arranged for 2 ski trips out west this coming February.

Sun Peaks, BC: 2 options, 7 nights Feb 5 - 12, or 10 nights Feb 5 - 15. We are staying at the ski-in, ski-out Sun Peaks Grand Hotel, with a full breakfast every day. Prices for the 7-night trip start at $2635 per person including a 6-day senior ski pass. Price for 10 nights is $3365 per person including a 9-day senior ski pass.

Legends return to Sun Peaks every year. There is terrain suitable for every level, a lively Apres-ski scene, and great restaurants in the pedestrian village.

Deadline to book has been extended to November 15, after which unbooked space will be released. The 7-night trip has just a few spots left, so act now! Space is also still available on the 10-night trip.

Snowmass, CO: back by popular demand, Legends members LOVE Snowmass! Feb 25 - March 4, staying at the Stonebridge Inn at the base of Snowmass, with a full breakfast every day. Prices start at $3380 per person including a 5-day senior ski pass. This is a great time of year to enjoy the Colorado sunshine and wide open slopes of all 4 Aspen/Snowmass mountains!

Space is still available, but it will go fast, so book now! Deadline to book is October 13, after which unbooked space will be released. To book a trip you must join Legends for 2022-2023. You will find all the info for both trips and Legends membership at http://probusskilegends.ca/ski-trips/ And of course, that will also give you access to social events, discount pricing at Skiis and Biikes, Blue Mountain ski days, and ski days at the Private clubs with special pricing–more info on all of this coming soon!

Note from the Webmaster

I miss seeing and being with you all at PROBUS, so here is an update.

Jule and I are settled into our life in the north. During the summer, we spend our time at the cottage on Twin Lakes which is only 20 minutes from our home in New Liskeard, and come winter, we hunker down in town. Incidentally, Jule's grandfather built both of these properties in the early 1900s. Yes we have electricity, running water, and indoor facilities!

The reason or my continued membership in PROBUS is the maintenance of our Website. I really enjoy keeping you all up-to-date on the events and news of the club.

A special thanks goes out to the content contributors. The various Group Chairs, Cycling, Paddling, Bridge, Investment, Special Events, News Letter, and of course the Management Committee, who all get their items to me for publishing. Keep up the communications. I look forward to another year, serving my fellow members at PROBUS Blue Mountain.
